• Camptostemon schultzii Mast.

  Subfamily Bombacoideae (formerly Bombacaceae). 2023 taxonomic revision proposed sinking C. aruensis into C. schultzii.

• Cynometra iripa Kostel.

  Subfamily Detarioideae (formerly Caesalpiniaceae). Excluded C. ramiflora (treated as distinct species).

• Excoecaria agallocha L.

  WFO treats var. ovalis as synonym; APC/Australian sources accept E. ovalis as distinct species.

• Kandelia obovata Sheue, H.Y.Liu & J.Y.Yong

  East Asian species (Japan, China, Taiwan, Vietnam) split from K. candel in 2003.

• Osbornia octodonta F.Muell.

  Removed invalid 'Osbornia petaloidea'. Endemic to Northern Australia, New Guinea, and Philippines.

• Pelliciera benthamii Planch. & Triana

  Neotropical. Split and accepted as second distinct species by Duke (2020) and POWO.

• Pelliciera rhizophorae Planch. & Triana

  Family revised from Pellicieraceae to Tetrameristaceae. Replaced 'Orey' with Spanish 'Piñuelo'. Removed invalid 'Rhizophora rhizophoreae'.

• Scyphiphora hydrophylacea Gaertn.f.

  Removed invalid 'Ixora hydrophylacea'. Orthographic variant S. hydrophyllacea remains common.

• Xylocarpus mekongensis Pierre

  Indo-China, SE Asia, and Australasia. Often treated as distinct or synonym of X. rumphii/moluccensis.
